At long last, the Employee Engagement Task Force, recommended in the MacLeod report nearly 2 years ago, gets launched. Well done David (Macleod) for your perseverance. Is their first Task to sort out the definition? Or is it a Mission impossible?
At the launch of the Task Force, Prime Minister David Cameron said:
“This taskforce has my full support because I know that it will work … to help people improve their wellbeing.” Employment Relations Minister Edward Davey said: “grow, innovate and succeed… Employee engagement is essentially about growth.”
Does the PM and ER Minister have the same view on what engagement is? Is engagement about Innovation? Growth? Or Wellbeing? Or is it just that these 3 things aren’t mutually exclusive?
Have a gander at our own debate on what engagement is and where the real innovation is…
If you want to take the debate to the next level come along to Engage Inside Expo 2011 on 19th April.
